I'll join you guys.
My problem started a few days ago, like the 8th or 9th Dec. I have a X1950Pro, and the temp while running EVE is 57-58 C. Now, my monitor goes in standby after a few minutes idle in a station. I had no problems before that weekend, neither with Trinity, or Rev II. I used the upgrade to Trinity, so now I downloaded the full client install tonight, and will try to reinstall the client when I get back from work.

It seems if I run it in window mode at a low resolution, it doesn't crash. I have 22" widescreen, to fullscreen is 1680x1050, I tested the lower resolutions one by one, and at 1360x768, it doesn't crash anymore. The temp is 56 C as I'm writing this. I don't really know what it means, but I thought I'd mention it

uninstalled classic and ATI drivers. used Driver Cleaner, and installed the WarCat 7.4 drivers. Installed the Premium client, diabled all the gfx effects except the premium one. logged on, and computer crashed while the char was loading...it took some time, normal Jita lag

Originally by: Carfax So went into display settings and changed the 32 bit z buffer with 8 bit stencil (don't remember as an option) to 24 bit buffer and seems okay now. Res still the same at 1280x1024. Also changed colour depth from 24 bit to 24 bit with 8 bit alpha and if you hover the mouse over it it tells you that was the original target settings when created. Also the interval to default rather than immediate.
Already have 24 bit with 8 bit alpha, but will try to lower the Depth/stencil format option to 24, and also change the Preset Interval when I get home from work. I'm starting to get really tired of this now I wanna play EVE again!

So, now it seems to be running stable. At least no crashing the last hour, and before it would only last a minute or two.
What I did, was install the premium client, and then disable the premium content. I tried using the classic client but that doesn't work, it has to be the premium. I'm also using the WarCat 7.4 ATI driver, but I don't know if it matters.
A little dissapointed that I can't see the new shiny ships, but maybe it'll work when I get my next gfx card. Going for NVidia next time for sure ;)

hehe, I'm sure NVidia has their problems too, but I'm not going for a 8600 anyways ;)
and...ehm...I have to eat my words again...the client crashed. but it lasted over an hour this time!

Originally by: Avaleric Game runs perfectly on one client - but the instant I start the second one, graphics starts flickjering, and then the entire system freeze; have to reboot to get it up again. And no, it nothing to do with heat, both CPU and MB is running at 22-25 Celsius.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3GHz ATI Radeon HD3850
Oh, and it happens with both old and new graphics active...
not exactly the same problem I'd say...
and I don't know anymore...now I've been playing w/o the premium content for over an hour again, and no crash. I noticed the temp has not been over 50C

I've given upon this now. I can't make it run stable. sometimes I can play for hours, and sometimes only a few minutes. I had to disable station enviroment too, cuz it started crashing while docked. I'll get a 8800GT after new years, and if that doesn't help, I might just have to cancel my subscription until the problem gets fixed. no use paying for a game I can't play, is there....
